What is botox?
Botox is the world’s most popular nonsurgical cosmetic treatment, and it’s the first treatment to receive FDA approval for temporarily reducing the appearance of crow’s feet, forehead lines, and frown lines.
The treatment uses a carefully formulated version of Clostridium botulinum, a substance that is toxic in stronger concentrations. What are dermal fillers?
A significant part of visible aging is due to collagen loss. When you’re young, you have a thick padding of collagen that smooths and plumps your skin. When that tissue wears away, your skin is left to sag and fall into wrinkles and folds. Dermal fillers work to replace that lost volume. Most are formulated from a synthetic form of hyaluronic acid, a substance found naturally in your skin. Fillers are administered via injection and work to plump and smooth your skin or add volume where desired. Some of the areas where dermal fillers are used include:
